35 years Greek. One family. One gyros worth the drive.
A small restaurant on the Grotestraat. Christos behind the spit, regulars from Aachen to Maastricht. Wine, ouzo and a table set the way it should be.
The plate does the talking
No frills. We cook the way a Greek restaurant should: open flame, generous portions, herbs from the homeland.
View the menuSpit-roasted gyros
Marinated pork, slow-grilled on the spit, served with tzatziki and fries.
Meze platter for two
Tzatziki, tirokafteri, dolmades, olives and house pita.
Moussaka
Aubergine, potato and minced meat under bechamel, the traditional recipe.
Lamb chops
Four paidakia over charcoal, with rosemary and lemon.
A family place that has stood longer than most hotels on the street
Christos opened this door in 1990. Little has changed since: the same marinade for the gyros, the same charcoal grill, the same people behind the bar.
What has changed are the guests. The kid who had a chicken skewer here in 1995 is now eating with his own children. You don't buy that kind of regular. You earn it.

Outstanding food, broad menu, very fair prices. Absolutely recommended.
Great spot. Walked in without booking, warmly welcomed, ate brilliantly with an ouzo on the house.
Small place, generous portions. The gyros and souvlaki are exceptional. Mel’s service is top notch, value for money outstanding.
The best Greek takeaway in Valkenburg. Worth the drive every time.
Our regular Greek for 12 years now. The lamb chops are a celebration, raki on the house is part of the deal.
We come from Aachen and have been eating here for years. More authentic than many places in Greece itself.
